The
Bible is the Full and Complete Word of God |
-We
believe the Bible is a God-inspired book. He
inspired the very words of the Bible. It is perfect,
true and without error, because God Himself inspired it. Therefore,
the Bible has divine authority. We must believe what
it says and obey its teachings.
Matthew 5:17-18
17Think
not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets:
I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
18For
verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one
jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law,
till all be fulfilled.
1 Corinthians 2:13
13Which
things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom
teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing
spiritual things with spiritual. |
|
There is
Only One Living God
|
-We
believe the Bible reveals that there is only one living
God. Yet the Bible reveals that there are three
Divine Persons...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three
Persons are of one nature and have existed from all eternity.
They are equal to each other in holiness, justice, wisdom,
power, and dignity.
Deuteronomy 4:35
35Unto thee it was shewed,
that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there
is none else beside him.
Deuteronomy 6:4
4Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is
one LORD:
Luke 3:21-22
21Now when all the people were
baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized,
and praying, the heaven was opened, 22And
the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove
upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou
art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
Matt 28:19
19Go ye therefore, and teach
all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
II Cor. 13:14
14The grace of the Lord Jesus
Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy
Ghost, be with you all. Amen. |

Jesus
was Born of the Virgin Mary and the Holy Spirit
|
-We
believe the Bible reveals that after living for all eternity
past with the Father in Heaven, God, the Son, entered into
the womb of the virgin Mary and joined Himself to her seed.
Isaiah 7:14
14Therefore the Lord himself shall give
you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear
a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Isaiah 9:6
6For unto us a child is born,
unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon
his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful,
Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The
Prince of Peace.
Matt 1:18-25
18Now the birth of Jesus Christ was
on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph,
before they came together, she was found with child of the
Holy Ghost. 19Then Joseph her husband,
being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example,
was minded to put her away privily. 20But
while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the
LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son
of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that
which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21And
she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS:
for he shall save his people from their sins. 22Now
all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken
of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23Behold,
a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son,
and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted
is, God with us.24Then Joseph being
raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him,
and took unto him his wife: 25And knew
her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he
called his name JESUS.
Luke 1:26-35
26And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel
was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27To
a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of
the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 28And
the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that
art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art
thou among women. 29And when
she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast
in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. 30And
the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast
found favour with God. 31And,
behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth
a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32He
shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest:
and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his
father David: 33And he shall
reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom
there shall be no end. 34Then
said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I
know not a man?
35And
the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall
come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow
thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born
of thee shall be called the Son of God.
Phil 2:5-30
5Let this mind be in you, which was
also in Christ Jesus: 6Who, being
in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with
God: 7But made himself of no reputation,
and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in
the likeness of men: 8And being found
in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient
unto death, even the death of the cross. 9Wherefore
God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which
is above every name: 10That at the
name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven,
and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11And
that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. 12Wherefore,
my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence
only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own
salvation with fear and trembling. 13For
it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of
his good pleasure. 14Do all things
without murmurings and disputings: 15That
ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without
rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among
whom ye shine as lights in the world; 16Holding
forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of
Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in
vain. 17Yea, and if I be offered
upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and
rejoice with you all. 18For the same
cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me. 19But
I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto
you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your
state. 20For I have no man likeminded,
who will naturally care for your state. 21For
all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's. 22But
ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father,
he hath served with me in the gospel. 23Him
therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see
how it will go with me. 24But I trust
in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly. 25Yet
I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother,
and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger,
and he that ministered to my wants. 26For
he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because
that ye had heard that he had been sick. 27For
indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on
him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have
sorrow upon sorrow. 28I sent him
therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again,
ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful. 29Receive
him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such
in reputation:30Because for the work
of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life,
to supply your lack of service toward me. |

Jesus
Came to be a Sacrifice for all Mankind |
-The chief
purpose for which the Son of God became man was to offer
Himself upon the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of the
world.
Matt 20:28
28Even as the Son of man
came not to be ministered unto, but to minister,
and to give his life a ransom for many.
John 1:29
29The next day John seeth
Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which
taketh away the sin of the world.
John 10:11
11I am the good shepherd:
the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
Romans 3:23-26
23For all have sinned, and
come short of the glory of God; 24Being
justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is
in Christ Jesus: 25Whom God hath set
forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare
his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past,
through the forbearance of God; 26To
declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might
be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
I Tim 2:5
5For there is one God, and
one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
I Peter 3:18
18For Christ also hath once
suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might
bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened
by the Spirit:
Hebrews 9:12
12Neither by the blood of
goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once
into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for
us.
Hebrews 10:12
12But this man, after he
had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on
the right hand of God;
I John 2:2
2And he is the propitiation
for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins
of the whole world. |

Jesus
Died and was Resurrected on the Third Day |
-The Bible
reveals that Christ was resurrected and glorified on the
third day after his death, Jesus was literally raised from
the dead, spirit, soul, and body. It means that he is also
alive today.
Matt 28:1-20
1In the end of the sabbath, as it began
to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene
and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2And,
behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of
the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back
the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 3His
countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white
as snow: 4And for fear of him
the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. 5And
the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not
ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6He
is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the
place where the Lord lay. 7And
go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from
the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee;
there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. 8And
they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and
great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. 9And
as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met
them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by
the feet, and worshipped him. 10Then
said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren
that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me. 11Now
when they were going, behold, some of the watch came
into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all
the things that were done. 12And
when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken
counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, 13Saying,
Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away
while we slept. 14And if this
come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and
secure you. 15So they took the
money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is
commonly reported among the Jews until this day. 16Then
the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain
where Jesus had appointed them. 17And
when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. 18And
Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is
given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19Go
ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe
all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo,
I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.
Amen.
Mark 16:1-20
1And when the sabbath was
past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome,
had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. 2And
very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came
unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. 3And
they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone
from the door of the sepulchre? 4And
when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away:
for it was very great. 5And entering
into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right
side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. 6And
he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth,
which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the
place where they laid him. 7But go
your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before
you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you. 8And
they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they
trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any
man; for they were afraid. 9Now when
Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared
first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. 10And
she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned
and wept. 11And they, when they had
heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed
not. 12After that he appeared in another
form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country. 13And
they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they
them. 14Afterward he appeared unto
the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their
unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them
which had seen him after he was risen.15And
he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the
gospel to every creature.16He that
believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth
not shall be damned. 17And these signs
shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast
out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;18They
shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing,
it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and
they shall recover. 19So then after
the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven,
and sat on the right hand of God. 20And
they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working
with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
Luke 24:1-53
1Now upon the first day of
the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre,
bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others
with them. 2And they found the stone
rolled away from the sepulchre. 3And
they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. 4And
it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold,
two men stood by them in shining garments: 5And
as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth,
they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? 6He
is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when
he was yet in Galilee, 7Saying, The
Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men,
and be crucified, and the third day rise again. 8And
they remembered his words, 9And returned
from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven,
and to all the rest. 10It was Mary
Magdalene and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other
women that were with them, which told these things unto the
apostles. 11And their words seemed
to them as idle tales, and they believed them not. 12Then
arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down,
he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed,
wondering in himself at that which was come to pass. 13And,
behold, two of them went that same day to a village called
Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs. 14And
they talked together of all these things which had happened. 15And
it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned,
Jesus himself drew near, and went with them. 16But
their eyes were holden that they should not know him. 17And
he said unto them, What manner of communications are these
that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad? 18And
the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto
him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known
the things which are come to pass there in these days? 19And
he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning
Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word
before God and all the people: 20And
how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned
to death, and have crucified him. 21But
we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel:
and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things
were done. 22Yea, and certain women
also of our company made us astonished, which were early at
the sepulchre; 23And when they found
not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a
vision of angels, which said that he was alive. 24And
certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and
found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not. 25Then
he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all
that the prophets have spoken: 26Ought
not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into
his glory? 27And beginning at Moses
and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures
the things concerning himself. 28And
they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he
made as though he would have gone further. 29But
they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward
evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry
with them. 30And it came to pass, as
he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and
brake, and gave to them. 31And their
eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of
their sight. 32And they said one to
another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked
with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? 33And
they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and
found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with
them, 34Saying, The Lord is risen indeed,
and hath appeared to Simon. 35And they
told what things were done in the way, and how he was known
of them in breaking of bread. 36And
as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them,
and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. 37But
they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they
had seen a spirit. 38And he said unto
them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your
hearts? 39Behold my hands and my feet,
that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath
not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. 40And
when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet. 41And
while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said
unto them, Have ye here any meat? 42And
they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. 43And
he took it, and did eat before them. 44And
he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you,
while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled,
which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets,
and in the psalms, concerning me. 45Then
opened he their understanding, that they might understand the
scriptures, 46And said unto them, Thus
it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to
rise from the dead the third day: 47And
that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in
his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48And
ye are witnesses of these things. 49And,
behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry
ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power
from on high. 50And he led them out
as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed
them. 51And it came to pass, while
he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into
heaven. 52And they worshipped him,
and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: 53And
were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God.
Amen.
I Cor 15:1-20
1Moreover, brethren, I declare
unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye
have received, and wherein ye stand; 2By
which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached
unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3For
I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received,
how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4And
that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according
to the scriptures: 5And that he was
seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 6After
that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of
whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are
fallen asleep. 7After that, he was
seen of James; then of all the apostles. 8And
last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due
time. 9For I am the least of the apostles,
that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted
the church of God. 10But by the grace
of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon
me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they
all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. 11Therefore
whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed. 12Now
if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some
among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13But
if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not
risen: 14And if Christ be not risen,
then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. 15Yea,
and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified
of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if
so be that the dead rise not. 16For
if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17And
if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in
your sins. 18Then they also which are
fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 19If
in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men
most miserable. 20But now is Christ
risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that
slept.
Rev. 1:9-18
9I John, who also am your
brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and
patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos,
for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. 10I
was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a
great voice, as of a trumpet, 11Saying,
I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou
seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches
which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto
Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia,
and unto Laodicea. 12And I turned to
see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven
golden candlesticks; 13And in the midst
of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed
with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with
a golden girdle. 14His head and his
hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes
were as a flame of fire; 15And his
feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace;
and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16And
he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth
went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the
sun shineth in his strength. 17And
when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his
right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first
and the last: 18I am he that liveth,
and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and
have the keys of hell and of death.
Hebrews 7:25
25Wherefore he is able also to save them
to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he
ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Hebrews 13:8
8Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. |

Christ
is in Heaven and is Our High Priest There |
-Christ
ascended back to Heaven to share His Father's throne. In
Heaven He acts as our High Priest until his second coming
to earth in power and glory.
Luke 24:50-53
50And he led them out as far
as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. 51And
it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them,
and carried up into heaven. 52And they
worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: 53And
were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
Acts 1:9-11
9And when he had spoken these
things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received
him out of their sight. 10And while
they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold,
two men stood by them in white apparel; 11Which
also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven?
this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall
so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
Ephesians 1:19-21
19And what is the exceeding
greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to
the working of his mighty power, 20Which
he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and
set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21Far
above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion,
and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also
in that which is to come:
Romans 8:34
34Who is he that condemneth?
It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who
is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession
for us.
Hebrews 4:14-16
14Seeing then that we have
a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus
the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15For
we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the
feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like
as we are, yet without sin. 16Let us
therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may
obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 7:24-27
24But this man, because he
continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. 25Wherefore
he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto
God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for
them. 26For such an high priest became
us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners,
and made higher than the heavens; 27Who
needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice,
first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this
he did once, when he offered up himself.
Hebrews 10:19-22
19Having therefore, brethren, boldness
to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20By
a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us,
through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21And
having an high priest over the house of God; 22Let
us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith,
having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience,
and our bodies washed with pure water. |

Only By
God's Grace Can We be Saved
|
-We believe
that mankind can only be saved by the grace of God through
the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
Romans 3:24-26
24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption
that is in Christ Jesus: 25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith
in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission
of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that
he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth
in Jesus.
Ephesians
2:4-8
4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together
with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together
in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches
of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Galatians 2:16
16Knowing
that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but
by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed
in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of
Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of
the law shall no flesh be justified. |

When a Sinner Repents a Change Takes Place Within Them |
-When a
sinner repents and trusts in Christ many wonderful changes
begin to take place place in their life. Three
of these changes are: (1) The sinner is regenerated or
born again. This means that the Holy Spirit imparts the
life of God and of Jesus Christ to him, and he becomes
a child of God. (2) His sins are freely forgiven. (3) He
is set free from the power of sin and the practice of sinning.
John 1:12-13
12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become
the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh,
nor of the will of man, but of God.
John
3:5-8
5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a
man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into
the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which
is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the
sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither
it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Ephesians 2:1-10
1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and
sins; 2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of
this world, according to the prince of the power of the air,
the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past
in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh
and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath,
even as others. 4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith
he loved us, 5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together
with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together
in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches
of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto
good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk
in them.
Acts 10:43
43To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name
whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
Acts 13:38
38Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that
through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of
sins:
Ephesians 1:7
7In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness
of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
I John 2:21
21I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth,
but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
Romans 6:1-23
1What
shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may
abound? 2God
forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer
therein? 3Know
ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ
were baptized into his death? 4Therefore
we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as
Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory
of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5For
if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death,
we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6Knowing
this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body
of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should
not serve sin. 7For
he that is dead is freed from sin. 8Now
if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live
with him: 9Knowing
that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death
hath no more dominion over him. 10For
in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth,
he liveth unto God. 11Likewise
reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive
unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12Let
not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should
obey it in the lusts thereof. 13Neither
yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto
sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are
alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness
unto God. 14For
sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under
the law, but under grace. 15What
then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under
grace? God forbid. 16Know
ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey,
his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin
unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 17But
God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have
obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was
delivered you. 18Being
then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. 19I
speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your
flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants
to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield
your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. 20For
when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. 21What
fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed?
for the end of those things is death. 22But
now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye
have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting
life. 23For
the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 8:3-4
3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through
the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful
flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in
us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Romans 9:14
14What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God?
God forbid.
Titus 2:14
14Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all
iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous
of good works.
I
John 7,9
7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ
his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive
us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

By Faith not Works We are saved |
| -No one can ever be justified
by good works of any kind, but only by the grace of God through
the shed blood of Christ. |

There is Only One Way to be Counted Righteous |
| -There is only one way
for a sinner to be counted righteous; he must repent and
believe the Gospel. |

Believers Should Seek to Live a Sanctified Life |
-We believe
the Bible teaches that all believers should seek to live
a sanctified life. The word "sanctify" means
to "make holy". There are two sides to holiness.
One side of holiness in purity and cleanness. It means
that the heart and life are purified or cleansed from sin.
The other side of holiness is consecration to God. It means
that the cleansed heart and life are set apart for God's
service and glory. Only a cleansed heart and life can be
set apart for God. The experience of sanctification does
not mean that the believer has now reached the full limits
of growth in grace. It means that the chief hindrance of
growth in grace has been cleansed/crucified.
Romans
6:11-23
11Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto
sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye
should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness

Romans 12:1-2
1I
beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that
ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable
unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2And
be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by
the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that
good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. |

Water Baptism is an Outward Testimony of Internal Works |
| -We believe that the baptism
is an outward testimony to an inward work already accomplished
in the heart of the believer. Baptism is administered
according to Christ's command, "In the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." |
|
We Believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit
|
-We believe
that the baptism of the Holy Ghost may be obtained by a
definite act of appropriating faith on part of the fully
cleansed believer. This is not an impossible condition,
but an imperative command, and that the first evidence
of the reception of this experience is the speaking with
other tongues as the spirit gives utterance.
Ephesians 5:18
18And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled
with the Spirit;
Luke 11:13
13If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto
your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give
the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Acts 1:5
5For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized
with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
Acts 2:1-4
1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all
with one accord in one place. 2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing
mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire,
and it sat upon each of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began
to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Acts
8:17
17Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the
Holy Ghost. |

Divine Healing is Possible because of Christ's Sacrifice on the Cross
|
-We believe
that through the redemptive work of Christ on the cross,
Divine healing is provided, both spiritually and physically.
Isaiah 53:4-5
4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet
we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised
for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon
him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Matthew
8:16-17
16When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were
possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word,
and healed all that were sick: 17That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the
prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our
sicknesses.
I Peter 2:24
24Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree,
that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness:
by whose stripes ye were healed. |
|
Pre-Tribulation Return of Christ |
-We believe
in the imminent, personal, pre-tribulation, pre-millennial
second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Acts 1:11
11Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing
up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you
into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him
go into heaven. |

There is Life after Death
|
-We believe
that the Bible plainly teaches that there is life after
death. The future is of two kinds: (1) There is
heaven for all who have repented of sin and have put their
faith and trust in Christ, and who continue to abide in
Christ. (2) There is also a hell, a place and state of
everlasting separation from God.
Matthew 25:46
46And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but
the righteous into life eternal.
John
11:25-26
25Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:
he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he
live: 26And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.
Believest thou this?
I Cor 15:49-54
49And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also
bear the image of the heavenly. 50Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit
the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but
we shall all be changed, 52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:
for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible,
and we shall be changed. 53For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this
mortal must put on immortality. 54So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption,
and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be
brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed
up in victory.
II Cor 5:1-8
1For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle
were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made
with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon
with our house which is from heaven: 3If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened:
not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that
mortality might be swallowed up of life. 5Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God,
who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 6Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst
we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent
from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Phillippians
1:23
23For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart,
and to be with Christ; which is far better:
Revelation
21:21
21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate
was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold,
as it were transparent glass.
John
3:36
36He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and
he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath
of God abideth on him.
Romans 6:23
23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Revelation 14:10-11
10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God,
which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation;
and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the
presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever
and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship
the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark
of his name.
Revelation 19:20
20And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet
that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived
them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that
worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake
of fire burning with brimstone.
Revelation
20:10
10And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake
of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet
are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Revelation 20:12-15
12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God;
and the books were opened: and another book was opened,
which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out
of those things which were written in the books, according
to their works. 13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death
and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they
were judged every man according to their works. 14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This
is the second death. 15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life
was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation
21:8
8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and
murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters,
and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth
with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. |
